What would you do if you heard suspicious noises at night time, and woke up to mysterious objects being left around your garden? You’d probably think you were being targeted for an awful crime, right? Or someone was purposefully tormenting you by playing mind games?

Well, thankfully, this family used their night vision CCTV system to get to the bottom of the reoccurring eerie events.

Strange Things Happen In The Dark Of Night

It all started with a Swanley family who noticed bumps in the night. They knew the noises weren’t coming from inside the house as they had a reliable burglar alarm, so they assumed the strange sounds were coming from the garden.

As the days went by and the family grew familiar to the rummaging noises, they woke up to find an old shoe that had been left right in the middle of their garden.

Of course, the only explanation was that the neighbourhood burglar had been rummaging around their home, looking for a way to get in each night and, in his attempt to make a quick escape, left his shoe behind.

However, things got weirder when the homeowner disposed of the shoe in the rubbish bin and it returned again the next night. No matter how many times the shoe was thrown away, it was always found in the same spot every morning…

At this point, the family were feeling uneasy in their own home and decided to have a night vision CCTV system installed outside their home to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.

Night Vision CCTV System Spots An Unexpected Intruder

The family opted for a 3 megapixel IP camera with a separate, built-in infra-red light.

And that morning, when they found the shoe in the garden yet again, they traced the images back to the early hours of the morning to find a cute and furry intruder in their garden.

That’s right, it was a curious little fox cub!

He was caught red-handed playing with the shoe in the garden every night at around the same time! He was obviously sniffing out his toy in the rubbish and, as foxes do, tearing open the bin bags each night to fetch it.

Night Vision CCTV Brought Comfort & Relief

As you can probably imagine, the Swanley family were so relieved to find a cute fox cub in their garden instead of a sinister burglar.

But your family might not be so lucky.

If you hear strange noises around your home and find mysterious objects turning up, you can’t just assume that the culprit is a friendly woodland animal. In fact, this family were sensible enough to have the night vision CCTV system installed to put their minds to rest.

Imagine what the outcome might have been if they hadn’t and an innocent little fox cub wasn’t the one lurking around their family home at night…
