If you have read up on CCTV systems and are considering having one installed within your home, you may want to learn more about our CCTV installation process to put your mind at ease.
We’re going to talk you through each step of our process from the moment we receive the enquiry, to the installation day itself! On that note, let’s look at step one.
Guardian’s Domestic CCTV Installation Process – Responding to an enquiry
It all begins with an enquiry. We receive your enquiry through the contact form on our website, or over the phone and reply as soon as possible.
If you contact us via our form during standard working hours, you can expect to receive a call almost immediately. However, if you submit an enquiry overnight or on the weekend, we will respond the next available working morning.
If you call us directly, we can jump straight into the next step…
Arranging Your Free Site Survey
When we respond, we ask you a bit more about your objectives for wanting to install a CCTV system.
For instance, do you just want to keep an eye on the driveway, or do you want your whole house equipped with cameras, inside and out?
Then, we can arrange a mutually convenient time for one of our qualified surveyors to come to your home and complete a free site survey.
Usually, for domestic CCTV installation, we offer free site surveys from Monday to Friday during regular working hours.
The next point of contact will be when someone visits your home on the arranged date.
Surveying Your Home
One of our friendly team will turn up at your home at the arranged date an time.
All our surveyors and engineers are CRB checked as part of our NSI Gold accreditation.
Depending on the size of your home and your system requirements, they could be with you anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour (and maybe even longer).
If you have a small / medium sized property and are looking to have only the outside of your home equipped, then you can expect us to be with you for around 30-45 minutes.
Another factor that contributes to the time we spend surveying is whether you have any questions for us to answer at the end!
On the other hand, we may need more time if you have a large house, with a lot of rooms that need CCTV cameras.
If you only require a few cameras, we can quote you right there and then. However, if you need a more complicated, bespoke system, we will have to devise a specification and calculate the cost. In this case you can expect us to get back to you in a few days.
The Ball Is In Your Court
Now, once you have received your quote, it’s up to you to get back to us.
You can then call us directly to arrange a CCTV installation date with a member of our team, or ask us any further questions about your quote.
Time To Install Your NSI Gold Quality CCTV system
What does NSI Gold mean? Find out here.
Our team will arrive at your home at the arranged date and time to install your new CCTV system!
This can take anywhere between a few hours and a few days. But again, this depends on the size of your house and the number of cameras you require.
It goes without saying, the more cameras your need, the more cabling that needs to be done.
Customer Satisfaction & Peace Of Mind
Now it’s time for you to relax knowing that there is always a set of eyes on your home at all times – even when you’re not there.
You can also feel proud that you have taken an actionable step to prevent a burglar from targeting your home!
In addition to this, you now have the ability to view your footage at any time: whilst you’re at home, on holiday and even on the go with a CCTV monitoring app!
After your system has been installed, we recommend that you invest in a maintenance package to keep it in tip top condition.
